In 1992, Copernicus' German promoter, Irmgard Schmitz, organized nine solo concerts for Copernicus in East Germany. Here are two separate concerts in different E. German cities, Magdeburg and Erfurt. These people had been cut off from communication with the outside world since 1945. You could not even send a fax or make a telephone call from East Germany.

Along with a great band (Larry Kirwin, Mike Fazio, Thomas Hamlin and Dave Conrad), Copernicus had the audience on their toes and screa-ming for more with pieces like "The authorities", "White from Black", Nagasaki" and "They Own Every-thing" and others, from his vast oeuvre of past albums, most of them these days released by the Moonjune label. This concert documents Copernicus' departure from large bands, concerts and tours. He now tours solo with a keyboard, a backup cd and the same creative energy that made him the dark prince of downtown poetry/performance circles.

The importance of this session was that through all of the confusion, the piece, "Feel the Nonexistence", was recorded at this session and was placed on the album, "Immediate Eternity".
